Increase public profile of uterine cancer

Ladies, I watch a certain shopping network program. There is a clothes line called Quacker Factory which has fun clothing. The woman who started the clothing line is named Jeanne Bice. She announced on TV this past Saturday (via Skype from Boco Ratan) that she was just diagnosed with Uterine Cancer! Jeanne is a fabulous person and her clothing line is so popular that once a year people who love her clothes go on a cruise with her. It is just a thought but remember when we blogged about how we wished there was a woman who had a public profile and could get the word out about Uterine cancer...Ms. Bice might just be our angel we were wanting. I will see if I can do more research on her and I hope that at some point someone will point her to this discussion board.

    Great Idea
I just got Blaylock's book, "Natural Strategies for Cancer Patients." I am furious. There are 23 entries in the index for Breast Cancer, one for Ovarian Cancer and none for Uterine or Endometrial Cancer. We really do need a spokeswoman!

    1% OR LESS
If I recall correctly less than 1% of women get uterine cancer so not much of a market for the pharmaceutical companies or celebraties. I am going to follow Jeanne Bice from Quacker Factory and see if I can contact her associate named "Angel" who works for her on QVC. Jeanne is a firecracker and would be a hugh advocate for our cause....I just know it.
Thanks Bots for the reply. Lori

    Can I Help?
    Lori,

I don't know what happened here, but if you think it would be helpful to have an additional letter to ask for support, I would be happy to write one.

Well, it seems my post came out all right after all. I am ready to enter the fight to get recognition and research for USPC!

    We do need a voice.
Thank you for sharing this subject. I too feel that our cancer appears to be a small fish in a very large sea.

One thing is that I feel that even the Am. Cancer Society does not have a place to designate to donate to a specific cancer. I have stated this in several emails when donating into the "general fund". Other cancers are specifically stated. I suggested to have button to click on and 'write-in' the type to donate too. It makes me feel less of importance than other cancers.

    A voice silenced...
On May 16th I posted that maybe Jeanne Bice from QVC Quaker Factory had just publically announced that she had uterine cancer. I was watching QVC today and was saddened to hear that Jeanne Bice has lost her battle with uterine cancer. QVC website talks about a tribute to Jeanne I think this Friday or Saturday. She was a beautiful and fun loving woman. I know she is now truly and angel.
