Got My Results Today

in Lung Cancer #1
I heard from my pulmonary doctor today regarding the samples she took last week via bronchoscopy. NEGATIVE!!! The markings that have shown up in my lungs are now suspected to be scarring from my radiation treatments and NOT the return of the beast. I will have a CT in 6 weeks to see if anything is changing and we will decide if a course of prednisone is needed. I do not tolerate steroids well so I am hoping I will not need to take anything. I am a VERY happy camper this evening!

    What great news!!!!!! I am so so happy for you! Hope you go out on the town tonight and I am sure you will sleep like a baby tonight. My prayers are with you for continued positive results. Hope you don't need the prednisone.

    Thank you all for your good wishes. You are all a great support to me. My family is extremely supportive, but sometimes they do not understand the worry and anxiety that we experience while waiting for test results. The worry is real, and does not simply go away when we are told "don't worry".
