Molly, I finished chemo
Molly, I finished chemo about a year ago. A few months after completing my treatments, I started to have some rather sharp pains in my left side. Actually, sometimes they were sharp and sometimes dull. Eventually, I began to feel flu-ish and generally "icky". I did see my onc. during that period (which lasted for about 3 weeks), and she had me get some blood tests and an abdominal ultrasound. Eventually, the symptoms dissipated, and I recovered. It was all a mystery. I believe the chemo can lower your immunities and make you more susceptible to "stuff". I definitely recommend seeing your onc. I know sometimes when we have those aches and pains after surviving our cancer treatments, our minds immediately go to all the wrong places. Believe me, I know! Blessings to you! Lynn0 -

That's what I'm going to ask for(abdominal ultrasound)I had a pap smear last month and it was normal and in March i was having sharp pains in the stomach and back and the oncologist put me on a round of antibiotics thinking i had a kidney infection or bladder infection,I will let you know what happens because i know what we've been through will make our minds wonder a lot but i also know we have other issues in our body that we forget about even when i get a headache now I think what is this.LOL ~Hugs~ MOLLYZ0
