Bowel problems
Read your comment and question. I am in my fifth year of remission from colonrectal cancer. Had two feet of my colon removed shortly after being diagnosed in May, 2006. Yes, I still have problems too. What you are experiencing are the effects from cancer. Cancer does a lot of damage. I find it hard to eat solid food at times. When I do, I get sick, spend lots of time in the bathroom and often it hurts. I have found I can no longer have fiber, (although I am supposed to) and leafy vegetables bother me too. Especially lettuce. I have found that when I have problems, I lay off solid food for three or four days, sometimes a week depending on how bad I am and just have a liquid supplement such as Ensure or Boost. Then after a week of that, I slowly try and introduce solid food again. Hope this helps. Oh and by the way, when you get depressed or frustrated with your condition as I do, remember this: at least we are still both alive! It is not a bad trade off. A few health problems in exchange for my life. -

They took half of my rectum out so I have half the storeage. My colon/rectal doctor said I would probably have to live with it. When it gets me down I do try to be thankful that I am still alive. Thanks for the suggestions. I have heard that maybe doing biofeed back may help which the physical therapy department locally works with that, but my insurance doesn't pay for outpatient therapy. -

As per i see you are getting lots of fibre, wich may be healthy but difficult to be processed by you bowels .On the beginning I was having lots of vegetables and fiber and didn't normalize my stomach until I started to eat normal meals, Meat, chicken , fish , and of course some vegetables ,some red wine , not to much just a glass , so just the normal tings i had before, i became to normalize most of my functions also Kefir was a big help! try it I really suggest it !
Hugs!
