Jaw pain and tightness under chin

in Colorectal Cancer #1
I know some people have had jaw pain on the first bite of food or drink while on folfox. I have the jaw pain for a couple of days after trt., but i have continuous tightness under the chin, and maybe upper neck. I can tolerate it, but not if it gets worse. Does anyone know what i'm talking about? I mentioned it to the onc's PA, and he said "oh yea, mucosa....that should subside". What about the mucosa? I know what it is, but what about it? Thanks!

    i had some jaw

    i had some jaw tightness, when i had a lymphatic drainage massage the lymphs nodes at each side of jaw base wer massaged and the tightness disapated.

    Hi Janie...I had several facial symptoms but not jaw pain or tightness. I had a numb spot on my cheek, my lips were tingly, teeth numb, tongue fuzzy, and that glass in the throat with cold drinks. I have heard others that had what you describe. I hope you hear from someone. Thinking of you.

    Do they give you Decadron to
    Do they give you Decadron to take at home after your chemo treatments? for inflammation?

    i do get a IV steroid at the
    i do get a IV steroid at the beginning of chemo. i'll mention to onc. so many drugs, how do they know what causes what...confusing

    They gave me Decadron IV
    They gave me Decadron IV then a tapered dose to take at home for 4 days. I still had side effects but would it be worse without?...I don't know. I really feel like I don't know anything.

    I know much less, that's for
    I know much less, that's for sure ...but that gives me something to ask, about. Thanks. I always wonder about steroids and the tapering...when to taper, when to not.
