Half way there
Hi Tracie,That can be very frustrating.I'm a little surprised they don't try another treatment to zap it away. It's tough I know putting life on hold.Pet scan every 3 months would push ones nerves to the edge. Why not ask your doc to try something else?Sending you healing thoughts,Michele DX95 FNHL30 -
tumors..
Hi Tracie,
Fran/cookingirl had a similar problem and was given a couple of different treatments to shrink her tumors. Maybe she can help you out with more information. I'm so sorry the tumors are at a stand still. I have one tumor under my colar bone that is being persistant, but my Onc is hoping the rituxan maint will put it in check. I like you, just wish the tumors would go away and STAY away...so frustrating indeed. Keep us posted, and hang in there. Love...Sue

3 month PET Scans
That is soooooo frustrating, I too can't get my port out and I'm on the PET scan rotation of every three months. I could only imagine what goes thru your head still having that tumor hanging around. I'm showing clean, but because of the the bone involvement I had they want to keep a close eye on it. Keep positive Vinny0 -

Sorry its been a few days since I've been on here, it sure has been a crazy few weeks! Thank you all for the encouraging words, its very ... well there really is no other word but frustrating! Maybe nerve-racking would be another term, lol. I'm kind of jealous of all the others who were diagnosed at the same time as me, they now have their ports out and are back to work, I'm stuck in Limbo, to scared to go back to work for the fear of having to leave again due to reoccurance. If I could have just one clean PET scan I think that would clear most of my fears and give me the confidence to move on and get back to the real world, I guess during chemotherapy and radiation, you get swept up in the notion of being sick and not normal anymore so much as you start believing Cancer is the NEW normal, since then I havent gone not one day without thinking about it. Now I live for the day where I can go a full day without the word cancer running through my thick head...Thanks and God Bless, Tracie0 -

Hi Tracie,
You are a real trooper to fight through this. Yes, I too think about cancer and recovery all the time and that is why our heads are not the same as before. LOL. Well, we are normal here, right? Just take one thing at a time.
Hugs,
