Back from a marvelous cruise--and I've missed you all

My husband and I are back from the cruise that we had to cancel 15 months ago after diagnosis. What a wonderful time we had! This felt like a real full-circle journey for us. I've read all the posts I've missed--I'm still praying for all of you who are struggling right now and rejoicing with you who are doing well.
My Flexi-touch machine (for lymphedema) went with us--had it's own case for carryon. TSA was quite confused as to exactly what it was, but after our explanation, they were very courteous and respectful. I ended up using it about 4-5 times in the 10-day period--so not bad at all. There were plenty of people on that ship who had greater problems than me--and it made me think of how wonderful that these people are getting out and enjoying life. That's what it's all about--enjoying whatever we have to the fullest.
Warm, glad-to-be-back, hugs,
Renee

Welcome back!
I am so glad you had a wonderful time. I wish I had gone with you. I too need a vacation. I had gone to the island the day after I was told I needed a biopsy. Did I enjoy it? Nah. So I need my money back and to go back, after I am done with chemo and rad.
Happy you had fun, and that you're back with us. -
Welcome home Renee,
I am one of the newbies here since you've been gone. It sounds like you and your hubby had a wonderful and much deserving vacation. In a few months I hope to plan a little getaway with my husband once my BC journey is wrapped up. We girls deserve it don't we?
I look forward to getting to know you more in the upcoming months... Welcome home!

Welcome home!!!!
Yes, cruises are marvelous on so many levels!!!!
I booked one for the end of July from Hamburg, Germany to Rome, Italy....I'm thinking of buying myself a Kindle to take along...instead of loading my case with books like I usually do....
I hope you post pics, and tell us the stories!!!
BIG hugs, Kathi -
