Okay, so I wanted to do the Miralax prep, because I HATE drinking all the other junk. Now, I'm nervous, because I can't drink anything after midnight, and I'm still not absolutely, totally clear. Anyone here who can help? There's nothing solid, hasn't been for hours, but there's still a light brown color. Will I be okay for the morning? I'm thinking of doing an enema in a bit? I'm supposed to do one in the am, anyway. I have 2, so I'm considering doing one now. I do NOT want to be turned away and have to go through this again!

Thanks in advance!

*hugs*
Gail

I've been told they have a suction hose that can suck that stuff out.

This is the problem with the Miralax prep; it does not clean you out. You will find that doing enemas will help but will not turn you clear.

At this point, you are committed - you'll know if they were able to do it by how long it takes you from the time they take you to the time you are in recovery - if it's less than 30 minutes, then there's reason to doubt they saw "everything."

We're all better off with Colyte or something like that - it leaves little doubt and clean you out completely - all the time, every time. It's a drag to drink it, but you'll never be left wondering.

See what happens - and next time, you'll know to not do Miralax and go to a more proven solution. The doctors only switched to this because people got "tired" of drinking the yucky stuff. No kidding - but if we're doing a surgical procedure, we need to do what's right or be left wondering.

I did the Miralax and 2 enemeas and never got clear - the GI guy had me "completed" with the scope in 10 minutes - so guess what, I was left wondering for a couple of years until I could do the good stuff again and then they saw everything.

Hope all will go ok - you've been a busy girl on the boards today - good luck tomorrow.
