Mom going downhill FAST

in Ovarian Cancer #1
Mom has pneumonia.....sodium 120.....BP 113 over 55.....I think she needs to be in the hospital, but I am not there....not sure what the hesitation is on part of the doctor....I fly out tomorrow and arrive at 7:00pm.....I fear this is my last trip....I am surprisingly calm....will keep you all posted....

    omg she need to be in the hospital
    Have a safe trip and when you get there demqnd your mom be admitted. She needs iv fliuds and antibiotics. bp to low. Keep fang fish persona and go for it with these drs...val

    Oh Lisa, I pray for you and your mom. It seems that when things happen, our inner strength kicks in. I am praying that your mom will be okay and that you will be safe on your trip. We are all with you Lisa.

    I wish we were both in a different boat, Lisa. Isn't it amazing that sometimes we are surprisingly calm and sometimes not? I am so sorry to hear that your mom has pneumonia. Where are you flying to? I am in the Chicago area if you need anything.

    Oh, dear, this is terrible news. However, my mother recovered from type A flu in Feb, so don't assume the worst quite yet.

    We and our mamas have been through so much in the last two years, but I think the numbness we're feeling now is really an openness to whatever comes. Call me if you want to talk.

    My mom grows more frail by the day, but she's doing okay. Last night she talked about how she wanted to die. She wants to give in to the tiredness, sleep more and more, and then sleep and not wake up. I think I would like that for myself, too.
