Gallbladder Cancer - 2011

I am new to the group and in radiation and chemo (Xeloda). For my story, please see my postings on Gallbladder Cancer Stage 4. I am wondering if anyone else has had hand swelling and soreness from taking Xeloda? It is a common side effect and hit me on Day 8. I had to discontinue chemo for one day. Since I have a full six weeks of it and am only in week two, I am interested if anyone else experienced this and how it can be prevented or treated. My oncologist has me on B6 tablets, 100 mgs. three times daily but I still developed the swelling. Any ideas would be most appreciated!
It is wonderful to have this forum to discuss things as so little is known about our disease and its treatment.
