How to deal with reacurrance?

in Colorectal Cancer #1
My mom is currently undergoing chemo for a reacurrance of stage IV colon cancer; now with mets to liver; lung; and stomach lining. She was originally diagnosed in 2009 and we found out earlier this year that the cancer had come back. We will find out in a few weeks if the treatment is working. Trying to stay positive for mom but the waiting is very stressful.

    how to deal
    well for me that is a hard question.for me my reacurrance dx stage 4 with mets to lung and liver has been more devistating than my first dx in sept 2008 stage 3.i am currently doing chemo.onc says he needs the lessions on my lung to go away before doing surgery to the liver.the only way i know how to cope is my family,meds and my horses.i guess we all have to deal with it in our own way.even though i dont mention it a whole lot on this board because it can cause conflict and i dont want to offend anyone but my faith has also got me thru this...Godbless....johnnybegood

    It has to be devasting, but we don't have any choice but to keep fighting or give up. Keep fighting, be nice to the body, take care of it and sleep to heal.
