My heart aches

I've been off the board for a couple months, but seeing all this going on with the deaths and suffering has brought me to tears. My heart goes out to all suffering, and trying to get through all this nasty disease. My love and heart to all lost recently.

Hugs! So totally missing you all. Kim

I know how you feel. I continue to pray for us all. Each time I hear of a death, it takes me back to my mother, who passed away from colorectal cancer 17 years ago. Even since receiving my diagnosis, I have remained positive. My doctor says that I am now cancer free and this has caused me to work even harder to be there for others. Again, prayers to everyone.

    Hi Kim,

It is nice to see your face on the board posts again lately- it's definitely a bummer that the time you came back is when all this sad stuff is happening. There were a few good news posts- Buzz and Jennie have had good news on their scans & I think there were even a few others about that same time (the prior week). We need to remember and focus on the good news! I guess it goes without saying when you are on a cancer board that there is going to be sad, bad news, but it's the good news and the personal connections that keep me coming back here always.
Brooks posted an I really hate cancer today thread yesterday & I was having such a bad day myself that I vented a lot (then felt bad for turning the attention to myself), but I was about ready to lose it.
Today's a new day and I have a new perspective- I am praying for that for you today too, dear sweet Kim :)
Don't give up on the board, but I totally understand when it just gets to be too much.

To Eltina- good to see you around again & that's wonderful to hear that you're declared cancer free right now! I can only imagine how hearing about the deaths would take you back to your mom's death. Hugs and prayers to you, too. Thanks for being around to still encourage others that the No Evidence of Disease status CAN be reached!! :)

    I hear you Kim
Nice to see you back but I hate why you are.

And yes it does hurt but I agree with Other Lisa. I am crying as I write this but over time you come to realize that there is a very sad reality to this disease and each and every person that suffers is part of that #@$&#@ reality. I've talked to a few semi-colons buddies who knew their "fate" and each one asked me to stay here and help others like I had been helped so I do that even when it gets really hard. The ones that had attended a Palooza begged me to keep em going since they meant so much to each of them and that they would always be there with us. There is just nothing like meeting your partners in battle face to face and it makes it's even better when you "feel" the power of "us".

The friends I have lost from this site are a definite part of me and always will be and for that I am thankful and proud.

I have no idea if I have been blessed thus far or just plain lucky but I do know that I will always try to help my fellow semi-colons when I think I can. And I hope that others that have luck against the **** cells do the same.

    Semi-colons ROCK!!!

    My love to you all,

    Lisa P.
