Thanks Ladies!forme said:Long weekend
Hi She514
I am sorry that your having to wait for your results. I too have been doing a lot of waiting lately. I'll think only the best for you. Try to do something relaxing this weekend.
Peaceful healing
Lisha
I decided I didn't want to wait around worrying about Monday so I went out and bought myself a bike...cute red n white cruiser. Now if only the beach was closer to me to recreate my picture;o) Seriously, the weather is suppose to be nice this weekend and I needed something to take my mind off things. I think this will work! Sorry Lisha that you have had to do the waiting game too. Like they've said in all the posts...waiting is the worst. Good, positive vibes your way!

Hi Rosie,
Good for you...ride your new bike and try to keep your mind clear of worry! Easier said than done...I know! We have all done the weekend worry game, and it totally sucks! Pack a nice little snack and get on that bike and ride...wish I could join you! I'll keep you in my prayers. Much love...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)0 -

Thanks Sue for the prayers...wish you could take a spin with me also this weekend. Unfortunately I live in a bit of a sleepy town with no nearby bike trails. My next purchase will be a hitch bike rack for the vehicle. There are bike trails within 30 minutes car ride from me I'd love to explore. Tomorrow...I plan on riding until I can't ride anymore near home(with helmet of course)!

Hi Rosie,
I was just wondering if you will be riding with someone or alone? If you go alone, please remember to take something along for protection...pepper spray, amonia in a spray bottle etc.I would have my gun with me if I rode a bike alone here...not a "sleepy quiet" town. Also take your cell phone...activate the GPS in your phone(if it has one).Remember.. even the quiet little sleepy towns can have a "danger stranger" pass through. Just want you to be safe...Love Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)0 -

Hi Sue, and Rosie
Unbelievable. Let me tell you a story. Hmmm, maybe 10 years ago. We rented a house in Pa for the summer. Me, my husband, daughter, her husband, and her threee children. One day I decided to go bike riding, yes alone. Who would think, stupid me. Suddenly as I was on a beautiful farm road, no one in sight, then along came one of those trucks with large, large wheels. Inside the truck was the scariest men I ever saw. Hey blondie, where are you going? Thjey rode the truck along side of me. I thought I would die. I said to myself, oh no, what am I to do. My heart was racing. Suddenly 2 cars appeared, and the men took off.
I managed to get to our summer house just in the nick of time. I said to myself, I would rather ride a bike in the scarest neighborhoods of any city, than any deserted road in a beautiful town.
In fact years ago I was with my sister-in-law visiting a friend in NYC. We left the city, and as we were going back home, the car acted funny. This happened in not such a good area of the highway. I pulled over in a shopping center. The most wonderful people came over to help. One women said, my husband is home watching TV, let me get him. It just goes to show, don't be fooled by where you are.
Just thought I would share. Love Maggie0 -

Sorry guys but thanks for adding humor to my day. Yes, I will be riding alone but I think I have a relative on every corner...heading out shortly to bike to my cousins baseball game. They are expecting me so they will send out the troops if I'm not there on time lol. Cell phone packed, bottled water packed, sunscreen on and helmet about to be put on. Baseball diamond is no more than a mile away and family has my itenerary (plan to make a pit stop at the library). Thanks for the concern, much appreciated! Taking my baby for a spin!

Go for it Rosie! You have your bases covered and thats all I wanted to know. One can NEVER be apathetic when it comes to safety. May the wind be at your back...enjoy your day!

Hey Maggie....scary story! Sure glad it ended good for you. We just had a triple homicide in a gated affluent part of our community. A cracked out druggie walked in over the back hillside and randomly picked a home and then beat a family to death with a hammer. Husband 64, wife 60 and husbands mother was in her 90's. We have 20+different gangs and every other week there is a drive-by killing...all hours of the day or night. We had planned to be moved down on the river by this summer, but my cancer diagnosis changed our plans. Sooooo...now I just make sure I keep myself in a safety zone and not take any risks. Sad how things have changed over the years. Love...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)0 -

Dear Sue,
Scary and frightened beyond anything I have ever felt. I thought I was going to die, yes really. I also imagined in my mind, how does
a murder victim feel when they are being attacked? What can they be thinking? Beyond anything I could imagine. Just reading your post brought back such bad memories of what could of been.
Don't feel bad, I am glad you made me and others aware of what could happen. It keeps us on our toes.
I am a very optimistic person. I am not easily frightened. I find most people are good. But, when they are bad, they are the baddest.
I hope you reach remission soon, and able to get your strength back to make that move
by the river. Keep that in mind for the future.
PS: Just to let you know. Any moving company you call, can pack up everything in your house for you. I have no idea what this would cost??? Not sure, if I were to move, not sure if I
would be financially able to do so?
Keeping positive for myself and all. Love Maggie0 -

Hey Maggie what did those weirdo's look like-- I live in Pa.There's always some creep bugging someone, why can't people mind their own business and stay out of our space. My hubby is a prison guard he'll make sure those guys only have bread and water.HA HA.Like you, I love going on walks by myself but these days we do need to be careful.Have a walking trail across from our house and there's always people out late at night. Rosie sending you good vibes for your results Monday.Used to ride when married to my first husband.Nothing like that wind hitting your face, just love that free feeling. Take care all,Michele Dx950 -

Dear Michele,
I forgot to mention where we rented the house. Maybe you live close by???
Hemlock Farms. My husband loved it there for the peace and serenity. Hemlock Farms was great.
It was a complete community with very good security. There was a lake, library, indoor pool, exercise room, outdoor pool, and I believe there was a steam room also. The best part, was the wild life. We had deer, black bears, and wild turkeys. We never fed the bears, as much as we made sure the garbage disposal was sealed, the bears still turned it up side down. We did feed the deer. We even had a deer come into our livingroom. That was cool.
My mistake was bike riding outside Hemlock Farms. There are creeps all over.I am sure your husband when he comes home informs you of all the human animals in the prison.
Sorry, Michele, It's not me getting results on Monday. I will be seeing my oncologist Monday, May 9.
You too take care. Love Maggie0 -
and are suggestive of B Cell lymphoma. Because of where my mass is located the oncology surgeon is hoping the small lymphs in my groin or neck are also suggestive of lymphoma. Next is a PET scan to determine if that is so. If so an incision will be made to remove one of them for further testing to determine type, stage, grade. If no, major surgery will be scheduled to remove a node from my retroperitoneal. I'm hoping for the lesser of the two evils...the incision to neck or groin. Now I wait for PET scan to be scheduled. Onc is confident the lymphoma is indolent. Looks like I'm officially joining the group. Thanks for all the encouragement and positive vibes!

Hey Rosie,
Well dang, thats a bummer. Sounds like you have a few more hoops to jump through, but we are here to help you through it all. Sounds like your Onc is doing all of the right things to get this staged and what not. Try to stay peaceful...I'll keep you in my prayers.

Hi Rosie,
So sorry that they didn't get a diagnosis from your needle biopsy. I also had nodes in my retroperitenial (sp) area and had only the needle byopsy. Thus I never received a differential diagnosis, but my doctors all went with the results I got in deciding treatment. I sure hope they can get what they need on one of the neck nodes as major surgery does not sound good to me and I'm sure not to you either. Actually I refused to do any node surgery, but that's just me.
I agree with Sue, try and stay peaceful.
With blessings to you,
Leslie0
