Who is NED? not joking, haha!!! I didn't have rads or chemo, so I'm guessing it's related to them? I've been hoping to figure this out on my own, but I'm clueless.

    I had no clue either...MY drs have never used any wording to me other then all tests are fine...

    never remission, survivor or NED etc...

    I asked this question on another post eariler this week because I didn't either. I know it had to be good because of teh comments posted on my "rad grad" post. It makes perfect sense once you hear it, doesn't it?

    (N)o (E)vidence of (D)isease is the term many doctors use after you finish treatment, and are considered as cancer-free as it's possible to determine....but -- just to keep us on our toes -- some doctors use other terms.

    My radiologist uses (N)o (E)vidence of (R)ecurrent (T)umor -- which I continue to whine about, because "dancing with Nert" just doesn't sound nearly as suave and classy as "dancing with Ned."

    I've seen other women here say that their doctors use No Significant Findings (NSF), and No Evidence of Residual Disease (NERD). Not sure if "dancing with Nerd" sounds any better....
