    Rituxan
    Denise,
I was told the chemo keeps working in the body for several weeks to months after treatment stops. Then the R which is not chemo but an antibody keeps killing and keeping the new cells from reforming. John

    Chemo
    Denise,
You do know the chemo will wear you down each time you have it. It is harsh on the body. It takes time to get your strength and energy back. The rituxan is not chemo but an antibody that works with the chemo during treatment and continues to keep the cells from reforming. Even though it is not a chemo drug it will still zapped your energy for a few days. Nothing like the chemo does. They have come a long way with new developements in fighting this disease. I hope your family can be a little more understanding with you. If not, then we can identify with what you are going thru with the treatments. We have all been there and sometimes it is hard to explain to other people what it is like. You can always talk to us because we have all been there. John(FNHL-1-4A-5/10)

john thank you for kind words and i am happy for you with your good news.i do know that each chemo gets harder the way it was explained to me that it wweakens the bone marrow the last one i was in the hospital more than i was at home, one of my hospital stays i had no white blood cells and it seemed like it took forever to bring my blood plesure back up from 40 over 20. eat lots of green leavy veggies. this group and church has really helped me. denise
