one per cent is worth it
if all the alternative i do gives me a 1% increase in survival odds its worth it for me.
out of 100, that just one life saved. I am selfish hopefully its mine.
one of us here for the long haul not the short.
exercise, turmeric, vitamin d, tcm. these options all have science that I have shared, be it not accepted widestream.
why wait the scientific medicine if the indications are so positive.
one cent improvement for all the alternatives.
if no contraindications them what is the harm ????
imagine if I am wrong, it might be as high as 2 per cent.
just dreaming out loud. I cannot even blame the dex.
hugs,
Pete

I agree with you Pete! If
I agree with you Pete! If anything I do gives me 1 percent and 1 percent next thing you know you have 5% or 10% better odds. Keep at it!
Plus, you know if you are feeling better. If so, then you are on the right track.

Hey Pete,
If it's working for you, just "Keep on, keepin' on".
Have a great time on your camping trip.

hi raquel.
we got so many good friends here. We will have to split that 1% about a thousand ways.
Only joking.
Its yours. But i will get the next 1% if we get the survival increase up to 2%.
Some say that false hope is wrong. well it feels ok for this gambler.
Imagine if we win.
Sitting in my chair i feel pretty positive and hopeful given i am about to
cooked by the ct scan. Alas i do want to know.
And thanks for all the info about alternatives that you have shared on our wonderful board.
Hugs

I share the sentiments
Hi Pete,
I figure if all the supplements do for me is help my bloodwork out, allow me to do chemo without as many side effects, and give me a bit more energy, they're worth taking to me. Of course, I'm hoping that they do even more than that & that they're working on knocking out those cancer cells. But, as I said, even if they don't accomplish that, I still feel that I'm gaining benefits from taking them! I picture them popping the cancer cells in my tumors away, then the detox supplements washing them out and away from my body!
A girl can hope, can't she?! It's what keeps me going- I feel like I have a bit of control over such a nasty thing like cancer. I'm the type who can't just sit back and do nothing!
Hugs to you Pete-

Agree!
Look- I'm a fully signed up mainstream, biologically oriented medical doc with a strong belief in science, proof and evidence based medicine. However I absolutely agree with your sentiments that if there is no harm and there may be benefits, then go for it. It needn't mean rejecting mainstream medicine nor reducing quality of life by eliminating things that you enjoy. Add a few extra hopes to your thoughts and that alone may add another 1% to the survival (and that can be my one!)
