It looks like we're sending our heat wave on over to Arizona tomorrow, so you're welcome, Arizona Ladies, for our "steamy" little California gift to you!

And Louisiana is having a lovely Spring--highs 80, lows 50 and, my favorite part, low humidity which is rare here. I expect it to be that way in San Diego next week. Could you California ladies please arrange that for me?!0 -
In the mitten
In the state that is mitten shaped we are due to get up to 47 today. It was about the same yesterday. Do I mind the chillier weather? No, not as long as it does not involve shoveling snow. I can take the heat, but perfer not to get above 80, especially if humidity is involved. I've lived elsewhere and enjoyed it too but the mitten state keeps me in a happy state.0 -

When I was little, one of my favorite things to play with was my puzzle map of the US...man, where IS that when I need it?

Yup--here in Phoenix yesterday it was 93--today expected to be 98! Too, too hot for March/April. However, relief in site--next week back to the 70s.
Wherever everyone is living--hey, we're all still here! And that's a good thing.

Ohio will take about 30 degrees of that temp you are having. Will make you more comfortable and us. We've been in a cold spell for so long this year and last. It is the talk everywhere. We got a couple days of 60 degree temps.Didn't last long. If it didn't rain it snowed. If it didn't snow it rained. We had lots and lots of flooding and alot of damage. Not me though.I am on a hill.
My 2 sister in laws are in AZ staying the winter. Will they be shocked when the one comes back to OH and the other to MI.
OH but the forecast says warmer weather next week.YEAH!!!!!!

Northern California weather
I feel so lucky to live in Northern California when I read about the cold and snow in other places. I live about 45 miles south of San Francisco. It was 83 degrees here yesterday and is supposed to be about 80 degrees today. Not exactly normal for this time of year but I will take it. My college age son is on Spring Break this week and he went to the beach. My daughter goes to college 180 miles south of here and she was able to go to the beach yesterday also.0 -
I moved from So. Cal,
I moved from So. Cal, Fallbrook to Utah, and I still kick myself every-time the heater kicks in! We stayed in Carlsbad for a week in January and it was in the 50's and even that felt warm! I am thrilled today as it is sunny and will reach 70. It is the warm weather and friends and family that I miss the most!0 -
We dodged the 12" of snow that was predicted - phew!
But balmy, it ain't. Above freezing at least and we might hit 54 on Wednesday. My spring bulbs are about 3" tall and I hope they survive. The robins are sorry they didn't wait a little longer to return.
So, please Traci - don't be jealous! as if...Hot flashes are more manageable in the cold, dontcha know!
So, which state is shaped like a mitten ? My guess is Michigan cuz I googled it.

Like a couple of others posted, I'm fairly certain it's Michigan that's shaped like a mitten. I think we even learned that in elementary geography! LOL.
