I am really heading to San Diego and I can't wait! We are shooting for lunch on Thursday, April 7th in Del Mar somewhere. All of my sisters will be there: Wendy (who lives in DelMar and is pictured with me--she had breast cancer ~10 yrs ago; Patsy (psychiatrist from Seattle and has just finished aromasin but never had breast ca (yay); and Jeannie (lives in N.O. and I think she had breast ca ~15 yrs ago?).
I hope to see as many of you as possible, but, if you can't make it, I know you will be with us anyway in spirit.
Please PM me, and I'll have directions, time and restaurant in Del Mar. Again, it's Thursday, April 7th.
I'm doing my hap hap happy dance .. ouch, darn kidney stones -- finally on their way out!

Yes, we are LONGTERM survivors. I had the first and worst prognosis (Stage 3A--large tumor and 4 nodes), but I have now been 24 years. It is all I can do to keep track of my own canniversary, but two of my sisters are also longterm survivors (about 10 & 15 years out). The oldest had DCIS and only did bilateral mastectomy. The youngest had IDC, Stage 1 and had chemo and bilateral mastectomy. Then had a recurrence (local) and had rads. She has been clean for some time and is staying on femara.
I'm the only one with mets. The remaining sister did 5 years of aromasin and, so far, so good.
My personal goal is to go at least 22 years with mets!
We can't wait to see you guys. I am beyond excited!0
