Careless Measures Re: RAI

It has come to my attention that some doctors are not warning or informing people in the US about the importance of isolation after RAI. This leads me to believe that some people are not careful because they are not told when it comes to protecting others from the radiation. Is this why the cases of Thyroid cancer is growing in rapid proportions? I know that most of us on this site have been well informed, but after reading some of the posts on another site I learned that some people aren't educated about proper precautions. Maybe it's time to get serious about how this is handled in our country. How would we go about pushing this issue? The CDC possibly? Insurance companies don't want to pay for the hospital stay so they are sending radioactive patients into the public without fully preparing and informing them. This scares the hell out of me! Any thoughts?
