Yippee!!! I Ran my 1st 5K 2Day!!!
I didn't think I was going to run the entire course, but I did! Lauren ran with some friends and I keep on going until I crossed the finish line!
This is the first time I have ever ran a race nonstop! I was so impressed with myself and felt happy all over in knowing that I can run, if I put my mind to it.
Come June 1st, I will be celebrating my 2nd Survivorship Anniversary! I underwent 2 lumpectomies, chemo, rads, a year of Herceptin, and I am now on Tamoxifen. I turned 46 years old in January. Hooray for Me!!!
Wishing you all a GREAT weekend!

Hooray for you indeed!
With everything your body and spirit have been put through these past 2 years...running your first 5K is a WAY impressive milestone, and deserves many, many HOORAYs!!
And when you say "ran," do you really mean RAN? As in running? If so, I'm even more impressed (and jealous) -- I can walk a 5K, but I think the only way I'd ever be able to run is if I was being chased by a bear....did they provide bears to motivate you?

proving that breast cancer, and all it's ugly side efforts, surgeries, chemo, radiation -- never burned out your zest for life! I am so very very very proud of you, my dear Friend!
I recall our many conversations - where you walked your dog during chemo - huffing and puffing, sweating = in agony with body pain - .. You never gave up, or gave in -- Strong, able, Sister in PINK --!!! I am so happy for you.
You ROCK it, Ines! Lauren must be so very very proud of you, her Mom .. a breast cancer SURVIVOR ..
Gentle hugs for you!

Thanks
Thank you all for sharing in my delight! Yes, I RAN from beginning to end! I didn't think I was going to be able to do it. I figured I would run for as long as I could and that thought carried me to the finish line.
I really appreciate you kind words. It's a HUGE accomplishment for me. I do remember being bushed from the chemo treatments and dealing with SE. Those days are behind me now. I have to share that I have been working on my Temple. I exercise regularly and I think that is what helped me today.
There is LIFE, God yes, after cancer.
Love you All!
Ines
