Need Help - Want to Send PM to Friend

I am going crazy. I don't understand why only 5 names appear when I have more than 5 names as friends. Consequently, I can't select the name I want. I need to send a private message to a FRIEND and FRIEND OF. Why won't the list scroll to the name? HELP HELP HELP

    Mine works like that too.
    Mine works like that too. The only way is type in the user name. Don't know why it works like that. You aren't alone.

    ... though not exactly sure... The scroll box shows the most recently used.

    You can PM anybody, they don't have to be your "friend"
    You can PM anyone on the board by just typing their screen name in the "To" box -- they don't have to be your friend. Christmas Girl is correct -- the scroll box will only show the names of the folks you've most recently sent PMs to or received them from.

    I actually find the whole "friend" thing too complicated, but I PM all the time, just by typing in the screen name. For example, Janelle, you're not my "friend" (oh my goodness, that sounds so rude, doesn't it :-), but I could send you a PM just by typing "Different Ballgame" in the "To" box.
