Mom
I am glad your mom has gotten some good news. I wanted to send your mom some words of encouragement but I am finding it hard to find the right thing to say to my Mom too.
It is so hard to see my mom struggling to find some inner peace.
I hope she finds some soon, she saw the mental health people today and she is going back on Monday. I think she is crying more now then she did when she was first diagnosed back in June. I know she is afraid of the spring coming, she thinks she will not make it to the end of the Spring and she is so scared.
I believe the worse mistake anymone can ever ask is how long, because then they start counting the days, weeks, months etc. It has made it difficult for mom to enjoy the time she is here.
God, this makes me so sad. Sorry I did not intend this post to be about us.
Your Mom's numbers are fantastic, at this rate she will be back in the normal range in no time. Please keep us posted.

Lisa that is fabulous news , it will hopefully lift your mums spirits and make her think it is worth feeling poo if her numbers are going down!
I am in a similar boat with my mum , doxil ( her second line) has hit her really hard , she broke down yesterday and asked what was the point if she felt this terrible I am afraid that she is giving up on this fight. We went to the docs yesterday and she has got some anti depressants, I hope they make her feel a little more fighting.she has only had one infusion of doxil so it will be a while before we know of it is working.
Praying this chemo works for mum , so she can put up with feeling poo, knowing it is doing some good! Praying for you mum to that her numbers keep going in the same direction........go mums fight like a mum!!! Xxx0 -

I am so glad you got some good news, Joan. That is the way this disease goes. You get a wallop of bad news with the dianosis and then good news incrementally along the way toward recovery. It is a tough battle but so worth the results; time to be with loved ones and realize what is really important in life. I am happy everyday just to be here; doing dishes, laundry, feeding my cat (that is an all-day chore), visiting with friends (and you'll find out who really cares about you) and just being here. I signed up for an online writing class. I have always written but want to really get into now. I am retired so I have the time. It's the bucket list thing. I am 63, so even if I didn't have this illness it doesn't make sense to put things off. The time is now. Continued good luck with your treatment.
