I called for my CEA results today prior to my ct/scan on Thursday for possiblity of liver cancer. My CEA dropped from 1.1 a month ago to under 1 this week my last day of chemo. Hopefully this means my scan will come back negative and my family doctor was right about my thyroid causing the abdomenal swelling and fluid retention. This doesn't mean I'm in the clear but it certainly has raised my level of hope that finally I may have beaten back the beast again for a few possibly even several years. I will talk to my ONC about getting a poker face when he's talking stuff like this to his patients. I am smiling for the first time in 6 months. Hugs Lou
