No...
What determines your treatment is the type of bc, stage, etc. Based on the pathology from your lumpectomy...a friend of mine had to have 2 resections to get clean margins...she ended up with just having radiation and now 5 years of Tamoxifen...I had clean, clear margins, with my lumpectomy but needed chemo and radiations...she and I had two different types and stages of bc...
This site is a wealth of information from these wonderful women...each based on our own experience in this journey called bc...please continue to ask questions and stay involved with this site...it helped save me, when I was about to lose what little sanity I had left when diagnosed 2 years next month..
Peace be with you,

Thank you Nancy and Linda
Thank you Nancy and Linda for the warm welcomes! It's not a club any of us want to join, but I am sure glad you all are here with such tremendous support, empathy and encouragement. I am happy to know that the unclear margins will probably not have an effect on my treatment plan. Thanks for the info and all the best to both of you!

Please continue to ask questions!
It's from the questions others ask that I get the information I need most of the time. A lot of times I log in with a question and there it is, already asked and answered by an army of wonderful helpful ladies. It's not fun going through this but having all these people to help you makes the journey easier. Keep asking and Good Luck!0 -

Not that I know of, especially since the surgeon went back in and got clean margins. Your treatment plan is based, as far as I know, on your pathology report after surgery.
Good luck to you,

I like this site for the level of guidance I get from those who have been through he journey ahead of me. Not all questions posted will apply to your situation but a goo many will.0 -

Since you have clear margins now, that is what counts. And, hi! Ask any question, that's what this site is for, support, help and encouragement!
