Death of a friend

I received word this morning that a friend of mine in Canada died yesterday from his fight with Colon cancer. I had never met Jamie in person but we have corresponded many times via email discussing cancer, our journeys and treatments. He was diagnosed with Colon cancer about the same time I found out about my prostate cancer. Even though he had surgical treatment and radiation the cancer had spread to his liver. He was in his early 40's.

    Everyones journey we share
Each time I read or hear of someone dying from cancer I feel a sense of loss. People I've never met like Elizabeth Edwards or the friend I lost recently, it really hits close to home.
Sorry to hear the news of another life lost to cancer

I am sorry to hear about your pal's death. Thought they are not family, it hurts as much when a friend is involved.
Hope all goes OK with you and yours.

Condolences on the passing of your friend. Sometimes it seems that online networking friendships can be just as meaningful as some face to face connections, perhaps even more so.

I hope that, by writing about it and sharing your feelings as you've done in this thread, it will help in dealing with the loss.

    Be Well,
