Hi everyone, just checking in to ask if anyone has applied for compassionate use for avastin. If so, I would love to check in with you offline, if possible.I know that Bonnie was on top of that game and received it several times for different chemos. I wish I could check in with her for advice.
Thanks,
Kathleen

What is compassionate use?
I'm not sure what you are asking, so I am no help with an answer to your question.
On another subject though, are you okay? I am concerned for all people in Japan and I think of you often. Do you still have access to food and water where you live? My prayers are with you. -
avastin
My mom was on Avastin last summer in combination with Cytoxan and Methotrexate. I, too, wonder how she would have done with Avastin and other drug combinations. Now, mom has been on Doxil and Carbo and her CA125 has been hovering in the 2-3000 range. Today's results came back in stating she was over 2500. That is of no help, considering her range. All it does is promote fear of the unknown.
Back to Avastin, I wish I had better information about applying for compassionate use of Avastin. I don't know about that. I do know not every doctor can get it approved for ovarian cancer. Are you in the midwest?
