biopsy results

in Head and Neck Cancer #1
Please everyone pray for my mother. She will get her biopsy results Wed. She completed 6 weeks of radiation for paranasal cancer the end of August. Her CT in Nov. was clear. In Feb. her rad. onc. saw an area of concern in the nasolacrimal duct and in the eye orbit. She said she was positive it is a local recurrence and she would probably lose that eye.The surgeon wasn't sure. He did the biopsy and when he came out he said he wasn't sure there are cancer cells there. He said it's a 50-50 chance. Please pray for a clear, negative biopsy. No cancer.

    I am in the same situation, my first biopsy showed something strange (,,mainly red-blood cells and some groups of normal salivary gland cells'' <- has anyone heard something like that? a tumor made from blood?!) and I am waiting for second biopsy to confirm/deny.

    You guys are so wonderful! Thank you for being so supportive through this ordeal. It's so confusing when the radiologist oncologist is so certain, and the surgeon doesn't seem totally convinced. my mother is a nervous wreck. We'll just have to wait until Wed.
