How about an update on your cleanse and your naturopath visits? I am still on parabiotics, mastica, and licorice root to clean me out of any parasites that I may have and working on building up the lining in my stomach. I have mailed off my blood specimen to find out what I may be allergic to. Waiting on those results. I had two great weeks of a flatvstomach, then I introduced milk and whoa the bloating was back. Guess I'm allergic to dairy!

    HI!

    Well I haven't been back to the naturopath since I had my testing done. I have a follow up appt the 1st wk of April. He wanted me to continue on some particular supplements for a good month, then follow up and re-evaluate what seems to be helping, etc.
    I've just had the one CEA test, but was so excited to hear that it went down by 61 points- went down for the first time in almost 3 months! It went from 277 to 216, so still quite elevated, but it went down, so that was a good thing. I hope and pray it will continue to do that. I get it drawn again in another week, so we shall see if the trend is continuing or not. I've lost some weight, which is a good thing- nothing major- just 8 pounds, but that is significant for me. I feel like my belly flattened out some too- not totally, but better than it was. I think I was holding extra fluid.
    I am continuing to try to stay off sugar, off beef and pork (eating mostly fish & some turkey and chicken), and now trying to eat non gluten, which isn't easy, but I am trying!
    I am working on keeping my ph at optimal level- am taking something for that & am avoiding things that are acidic (like sugar, meat, vinegar, coffee) & testing my ph each morning.
    Since I've had a problem with diarrhea, I'm not actually juicing, but I am on a shake from the naturopath that has protein and it has lots of green stuff in it- brocolli juice, kale juice, all that kind of good stuff. I'm also taking a liquid supplement for detoxing metals, another liquid for immune health (a few different chinese herbs in oil/juiced form). I drink pau d'arco tea, licorice tea, dandelion tea for detox, I take cat's claw once daily, fish oil, vitamin D, selenium, turmeric, a couple of combination capsules of calcium and magnesium, potassium, high strength probiotics, and a tsp of whole leaf bitter aloe vera juice 3x a day. I may have forgotten a few more things, but that's the jist of most of what I'm taking.
    Today, before chemo, my blood was drawn again as usual. The nurse came back, just like last week, and said "Your blood counts are looking absolutely excellent- keep doing whatever you're doing!".
    That was really encouraging!

    Raquel, definitely share your results when you get back your allergy test results. Did they test for both allergies and sensitivities? I have "true" allergies to just a handful of things, but my body is actually reacting to many, many more things that are considered "sensitivities". The allergist I went to a few years back said sensitivities still give the same kind of symptoms as allergies, but antihistamines won't work for them and there's no real way to test for them. So, I was so excited when I came upon someone who actually was able to test for sensitivities!

    I am so tired of the licorice chewing tablets the are so disgusting! I have seen all my treatment pills on the internet, and find then very in close in price to what the clinic is selling them to me. I asked her about the machine that you had used on you to test for allergies and sensitivities and she said she likes to use the taste method which to her is more reliable. I'm no sure how that all works, other than she is testing my brain and the reflexes in my body when she uses a certain herb on my tongue. Did you have any of this testing?

    No, Raquel, the only testing I had done is the one I had described in my other thread after my visit there. I haven't heard of the herb/taste test. Interesting how there are several "non-standard" type of tests available. I did not have my brain or reflexes tested. This sounds like it could be used in addition to the kind of test I had done.

    I am still and occassionally adding to my list of supplements and sticking pretty much to a vegan diet. i don;t eat any fried foods, no sugars, almost no proceesed foods, (ocassionally pasta), no meats except ocassional piece of fish. I eat 50% of my food raw (Fruit on cereal and at least 1 big salad per day).

    I am at my ideal weight according to the BMI. I have my athletic 30yr old body shape back. I have loads of energy, no fatigue, no headaches, no reflux, no joint/muscle pain. My pH is just over 7(slightly alkaline). Can;t believe I had to get Cancer to make these changes but maybe that is my Silver lining.

    I take the following list of stuff every day. These are mainly Immune builders and some vital organ supporting supplements.

    Multi-Viamin High Potency (Tabs)
    Omega 3,6,9 oils (3 caps)

    Hi Pete,

    I take Cordyceps in Capsule form. I order the bulk of my stuff online from iherbs.com in the US (the Exchange is good for me now). My Mother in Law occassionly cooks funky mushrooms (I live in China) so I think mostly they are one of the good Mushy to eat for the medicinal value. She also makes what I call 'Medicine Soup'. Tastes like rotten orange skins and tree bark, but hey, it's lube (My mouth got fried in rads) for me and is probably super good for me as well.

    I am just checking out the Greg Fitzgerald pages now. Tx for the info.

    I have read a lot about Graviola and will look further into it. My Colloidal Silver arrived yesterday. I usually sit and look at it for a few days before starting... Another thing to take which initially is a drag, then I perk up and fit it into the regimen. I am keep in a growing list of 'super cures' and Graviola is on it. I figure they all good to trip up cancer in some way.

    What number is the ideal ph for you? My husband's ph is up and down 8-5. It seems to get acidic after chemo then steadily grows to a more alkaline ph until chemo. It is hard to keep it at 7.5 when he has chemo every week.

    Hi Erin,

    I was told ideal was 7-7.5. Yes, mine varies too, and definitely will go up and down depending upon what types of foods I've been eating. I've been trying to avoid the more acidic foods, but I've definitely given in here and there and eaten things that have been more acidic. But not too much- I've definitely completely given up coffee and am avoiding beef, which is also acidic. I'm sure chemo can and does affect it too. I just got my pump taken off, so I should test mine. I'll wait until the morning though, as I was told that is the most accurate- in the morning before you've eaten anything.

    Even though we have chemo & the ph will go up and down, we can still do our best to eat and drink the things that will keep it down the best.

    Hi Mike,

    Thanks for the link! Licorice root came up first- didn't say anything about cancer, but I just wanted to share that I have grown to love licorice root herbal tea. Since I'm giving up sugar (I used to scoop 3 heaping teaspoons into my coffee or tea), I've been looking for really flavorful herbal teas so I can handle drinking them without any sweetener. Licorice root doesn't really taste like licorice to me, but the tea is so good & it has a naturally sweet aftertaste. You should try it! Oh- another tea that my ND recommended is to drink pau d'arco tea. It's harder to find, but I found it at Henry's. I was drinking 1-2 cups of it a day along with taking my other supplements about a week and a half before my CEA recently went down. Many people claim pau d'arco is a wonder! It's from the bark of the pau d'arco tree from South America. I should check that one out on the website & see what it says. I checked out a couple of other herbs & noticed that it will talk about the benefits, but not really about how they deal with cancer. I think a lot of people and websites are hesitant to put it out there that anything could possibly help cancer, even though they do seem to. Hmmm...
    Well, I think a lot of people are waking up lately. Interesting how I met 3 new ladies in chemo this past Tuesday and when we were all exchanging information about what kind of cancer we have, etc, all three of the other ladies are also doing holistic/natural things in addition to the chemo to help their cancer. It's catching on!
