Turmeric - Curcumin
http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/218047.php
Extract from the article:
'Turmeric, a bright yellow spice from south Asia belonging to the ginger family, is the main ingredient in curries - and ancient wisdom suggests that it's also good for your health. Taking this wisdom to the laboratory, Tel Aviv University researchers have discovered that turmeric's active ingredient called curcumin amplifies the therapeutic activity of highly toxic anti-inflammatory drugs used to fight colon cancer when used at high doses'.
Best to all

I take a curcumin supplement. It was one of the few supplements that the nutrition nurse would approve.

I take turmeric in supplement form every day. My onc approves and my ND also said it's very good to take for cancer & it also helps purify the blood. I don't like the way it tastes in foods personally, so I just take the supplements. My onc nurse did caution me that, yes, it is a blood thinner, so be careful when taking it not to take too many other things that will also thin the blood (like aspirin & ibuprofen).

Well seeing you all like the Turmeric so much, you may wish to Google Melatonin. I took this years ago for sleep when I was traveling a lot but more recent studies have found some very positive effects, including it increasing the efficacy of both Chemo & Rads for cancer patients. I recently added it to my list of stuff I take (only at night).
Here is one good article:

or go to :http://www.lef.org/ <<<<< and type in 'Melatonin cancer' in the search window.
There appears to be no contraindications nor side effects. It is also a naturally occurring substance so cannot be patented. Why this stuff is not given to all of us going through treatment is frustrating to say the least.
I will also add as a new post.
Regds to all.
