Sorry that the news wasn't better for you but it does seem that there has been some good improvement so that is a very positive thing. Maybe switching you to the new chemo will even be a better weapon for those pesky cells. Getting anxiety better under control is always a problem and if you or your doctor can make magic and have it happen I'd love to know about it. That is very common and one that is expected. Hope you are feeling less anxious now. Hoping this new chemo works good for you.
Kim
It is so nice to see your beautiful face! Thanks for all your kind words. I am less anxious; just a little worried about the erbitux.0 -

not bad
Hi Anne,
Not bad results, overall.
I guess your onc has a plan that sounds workable. Definitely take the antibiotics just prior to or at least right when you start the Erbitux- don't wait. It's easier to prevent than to try to recover from the acne rash. Once I had it (and I had it really bad), it took about a month and a half to clear up, but I wasn't given anything at all & didn't know about the antibiotics for it until it was already too late.
You're obviously kras wild, so it should hopefully work well for you.
Take care-

Hi, I'm glad the results
Hi, I'm glad the results weren't bad. I hope the Erbitux mix works well for you. One of the nurses gave my husband some paperwork to fill out about a topical that may help out with the rash? I didn't look over the forms yet because he usually takes his erbitux at the hospital and I don't go to that treatment with him.
I will let you know once we get the drug that is supposed to help. I think Phil takes minocycline (sp) and my husband takes (dioxcycline) sp but it hurts his stomache so he would rather deal with the rash. Maybe ask your doctor which one he would prefer. My doctor said that one was a generic form, but they were from the same family. I don't know if one would be easier on the belly compared to the other.

Thanks for your suggestions. I think my onc only gives you the antibiotics if your rash becomes bad. I had a talk with her nurse + she said they won't let it get bad for me + truthfully I haven't seen anyone at my cancer centre with a bad rash. I am wild, so I am hoping for good things. I would be interested to know the name of the topical. I think my doctor will wait to see how bad my rash is. I don't tolerate antibiotics very well. Has your husband been on erbitux very long?0
