I get nauseous when taking vitamins
Does anyone have any suggestions on the best type of foods to eat while taking vitamins, to help with the nausea? I do take a probiotic to aid my stomach, but I still have an very upset stomach. I have even thrown up a couple of times. The nausea meds do work, until I take the vitamins. Some days I skip the vitamins, just to avoid the nausea.
Thanks,
Sandy

nausea feeling after taking vitamin pills
Hi Sandy,
My mum has the same experience. She cannot take the vitamin pill that is too big or 'coated with plastic shell'. We talked to the oncologist and he recommended the liquid type vitamin for her. I've heard from the nurses that if you take the pills after meals will ease the nausea problem too.
To be honest, even though I'm not a patient, I have nausea feeling after taking vitamin pills!
I hope you will find a way to ease this problem soon!
Best wishes,

I empty my capsules in my morning drink before I blend it up. I also take a magnesium pill. I would try taking one a time and find out which one it is, then see if perhaps you are allergic to it.
