No More Suffering

My sister passed last Friday 9:20 am. I was suppose to be there at noon to let my other sister go to work. She went within 20 minutes. I prayed the Lord would take her quickly and he did, all of us thought she had a few more days but she did it her way. I am broken hearted, we had her visitation today. I thought I was prepared for her death but when I walked in to the house and saw her I literally felt like my heart had been ripped from my chest.
I am so, so thankful for the last few years we had together, taking care of her, playing games, mall walking. I have been blessed in so many ways, I know we will all be together again someday. Actually a few days before she passed when hospice had told us not to even feed her or get her to drink, I sat on her bed, held her hand and teared up, she woke up and looked at me and i told her it will be ok, we will be together again. She gave me the sweetest smiles and I know she was at peace. That was my last living memory of my baby sister.
I still wanted just one more day.

So sorry...
I am so sorry for your loss. Words just can't fill that space that happens when a heart is broken.
May the peace of knowing that your lovely sister is no longer in pain and discomfort, but in the arms of the angels, help you through this time of grief.

prayers
DitZy2,
After losing my brother last year after a brief illness during which we were not able to communicate with him because he was in a coma, I know the grief of losing a close sibling.
Praying you and your family find peace and joy as you remember all the wonderful times with your family together and comfort in knowing you can be together, one day, again.
Then, you will have many "just one more days".

Tears
Tears are running down my face right now after reading about your sister.
I just finished reading the other post above this one, where Jenenes husband had passed away. These days are hard for me cause it's getting closer to the 1st anniversary of my beloved husbands death on Mar. 25.
You spent so much quality time with your "baby"sister these past months and I'm sure she appreciated every minute. My sister is 7 years older than me, but I know how I'd feel if I lost her. Please take care of yourself! You now have an angel watching over you!
God Bless you & your family! Carole0 -

Never Long Enough
My husband fought colon cancer for 6 years before dying. We felt so blessed by those years, but they weren't enough. We're never really prepared either. I am so sorry for your loss. Fay0
