in Head and Neck Cancer #1
Hi everyone,

My dad goes for his 6 month check up starting Thursday. He has an appointment with his Rad oncologist Thursday, a CT scan Monday and will get the results next Friday. His scan at 2 1/2 months still showed some activity on the tongue. His oncologist thought it was just activity from the rads but the ENT was ready to do major surgery so, I am pretty nervous about what this one will look like.

Other then some issues with being dizzy, my dad says he feels great and has not pain any where.

Please think good thought for us and everyone else that has scans coming up.

    Kathy, keeping you, your dad and your family in my prayers daily. Stay strong and keep thinking positive thoughts. Don't be too concerned that the ENT wanted to do major surgery, I think it's just the way their brains are programmed :) My ENT wanted to operate twice and both of my oncologist's said NO. I'm 17 months post treatment and my scopes have been good so far...WITHOUT surgery.
