hi there, im here for a nephew who has colon cancer, the tumor was to big to take out, it has spread to sacrum liver lymphnodes. the chemo seems to have stoped all places with a report today. but doctors say in the liver cancer it has grown 20% any1 kno y its not helping in the liver. he had 7 spots on his liver and they cudnt get to the spots to do a biopsy. they r starting double does of chemo next week to try to get to it. wasnt sure to post this on liver cancer or colon, because colon is where they first found it. he will b gettin a pet scan monday to see if the tumor in colon shrank enuf to take out, but said if tehy cant get liver cancer to stop growing there was no need to mess with colon yet. any1 hav any answers or advice. anything wud b greatly appreciated. ive also been in this sight for my brother with colon cancer, spread to stomach and sacrum, hes been thru some rough times with treatments, oct 2009 is when it came back and he is doing really well gained weight and feels good, but starting chemo again this week cuz his cancer score is showing its still active, just wanted to say never give up the fight, he looks good and has gained 15 pounds back. he takes the marijuana pill for stress and apitite, he thinks thats what has got him this far, and im sure of it with his apitite, it is legal in any state i believe with the pill. but any help with my original ? wud b great, thanks so much. and this sight is wonderful, god bless all of you that are members here, my family has been hit very hard with cancer

Hoping the new chemo treatment does the deed
Hi Shakie,
I've only just yesterday had my first chemo treatment and don't yet know if it will be effective in making my liver tumors shrink...I'm keeping the best outlook I can, but keeping my fingers crossed makes for difficulty typing! Positive thinking is the best you can give yourself and your loved right now. I'll be rooting for "Shakie's nephew", and I hope others here with more chemo experience are better help in giving you advice.
