in Colorectal Cancer #1
It's ben almost 3 months and I just needed a break. I still would get on and read and offer prayers but after the third lung surgery, I just wanted or needed a break. I'm heading back to Stanford on tuesday to get an update. Wish everyone well and I am almost 5 years out now. Still tough and mean and loving life. For new, stage 4 with liver and lung mets. Liver resection,3 lung resections, 10 months chmo, pulminary embolism.... and still around and teaching with my kids doing well at my high school.

    Hi Chip,

    It's good to hear from you! Wow- three lung resections- that's a lot. I will be thinking of you as you go to Stanford- let us know how that goes.
    That's great that you're still teaching high school- you take care and thanks for the update!

    Welcome back!! I sure have missed seeing your posts around here!! Ok, I can't lecture since I also took a long break from the boards, but I'm back now too :) My cancer never did leave... it just went dormant for a rest. Well, it seem to have woken up in my lungs... and a new primary kidney cancer in my kidney. A girl just can't get a break.

    Anywho.... I hope you will make sure you let us know the reports from Stanford... and come keep us company when you can!

    i remeber your posts but i dont think i have ever talked to you.thanks for the update i did not relize you had been thru so much.i have been recently dx stage 4 recurrance to liver and lungs.original dx stage 3 in 2008.your words give me hope.have a good one...Godbless...johnnybegood

    Thanks for checkin in and glad to hear youre doing okay. Give us a quick update when you can. I can understand the need to take a break....you've been working hard at this for a long time. You were one of the first to greet me and give me hope and encouragement. I wont ever forget that. Thanks......Just wanted you to know that I was thinking of you and hoping for great things for you.

    It is so good to hear from you. You'll be in my prayers on Tuesday. I hope all good things for you. You'll love this: **** unhooked from chemo yesterday and caught 5 overhead waves on glassy water at our home break 1/2 block away today. Hope you're getting in the water. It heals so much; mind, body and soul.
