Just to update all of my friends on here, my mother passed away last Saturday at home with all of us by her side. Thank you so much for all the kind words, thoughts and prayers, it would make it very hard without all of you. Although it is very hard to deal with at times, I know she is in a better place and always with us. If anyone has questions, thoughts or anything at all, please let me know..
As most know, my mother had a 3 year battle with surgery and many different chemo treatments and a long up and down struggle, for the most part her last 3 years were good and very peaceful and we spent as much time together as possible .. I will always check in on a regular basis with everyone and thank God I found this site. what a help.
Also, wanted everyone to know about the world class doctors and staff at UNMC in Omaha Ne. Her doctor always tried new things and was just fantastic to work with every day.
Again, thank you all and peace..

Thinking of you
Dennis,
Don't think we've talked cause I usually go on the lung cancer site. My hubby died last March and I found so much comfort in this site.
I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. Please try and remember all the happy times you had with her. It's not easy losing a mom, as I have gone through that too. Like you said, she's in a better place and is free of pain. Take care! "Carole"0 -
My sincere condolences
Dennis,
I am very sorry to hear that your mother has left us. I am happy to hear that she passed at home among the people who loved her. I know she is now in a better place beyond the pain and suffering of cancer.
I pray that God provides you and your family with support and peace during this difficult time.
Best Regards,

Dennis, So sorry to hear
Dennis, So sorry to hear about your mom's passing. I know this will be a difficult time for you. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.I'd like to share this poem. It was on a dear friend's obituary, who went home to be with the Lord a week ago.
Afterglow
I'd like the memory of me
To be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow
Of smiles
When life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering
softly down the ways.
Of happy times and laughing times
And bright sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve,
To dry before the sun
Of happy memories that I leave
When life is done.

Dennis,
I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. But happy that she was surrounded by love and family and you had good times with her. Those memories are precious and I know in the days to come they will be of comfort to you. I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts during these difficult days.
Hugs to you and your family,

MY Heartfelt Sympathies
Hello Dennis
May I send to you my most heartfelt sympathies on the recent loss of your mom. We are coming up on a year, March 9, that we lost my dad to EC. May God grant you and your family the peace and strength that you will need at this most difficult time. Thank you for continuing to check in on this site. We need you here! God bless and hope to see you soon.
