I know he said he was having
I know he said he was having surgery Jan 28th. I PM him twice but have not heard from him either. Hopefully he is doing well. We should all say a pray for him.

    Just a note...
I notice that some of you have mentioned PM'ing John a couple of times... but PM'ing is, actually, quite useless unless the person is online and checking here in CSN on a regular basis. You only get your list of PMs if you come in here. If John hasn't been here posting, unless he's been coming in and reading but not posting... he hasn't seen your PMs.

To get in touch with someone you have to have an alternate plan. Either email, or if you both are on some other system like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc. Even then, if the person is not here posting, and not posting on those other sites, then sending an email would be your best bet... unless they are not looking at their email either. Such as, if someone has gone to the hospital or has had a computer breakdown, then the only alternative is to use the good old fashioned telephone ;)

I'm sure most of you are aware of the above, I just found it interesting that everyone said they had PM'd John but haven't heard back from him. He won't know you've PM'd until he's come back here... by then, he will probably just post in a topic :)

    Hi Cheryl
I understand what you are saying but unfortunately I only know John through CSN. This past summer we hadn't heard from Peter(peterhw)in awhile so I sent him a PM and received a PM back the next day from his wife. Sadly, it was bad news. My point is that sometimes loved ones keep an eye on the account when one of our members is going through a rough time, in the hospital, etc. I know we all hope John is taking a break from the boards or recovering from a successful procedure. Either way, when he does eventually log back in, he'll have plenty of mail to read :)

    Hey Al
Very true.... and I hope I didn't come across as "Oh peooooople!" ;)

It is possible that someone else might be monitoring their account... which is a totally foreign concept to me who is single so no one has access to my account. I forget who it was (chemo brain?) who suggested we all get "buddies", which is a great idea because the buddies can exchange info like emails/phone numbers/emergency contacts/etc. That way, the information is not public (that would be very bad) but if someone goes missing and hasn't said they were going to be away, then the buddy could track them down.

Whether John was online when this was started, doesn't, of course, solve how to get in touch with him now that he's missing in action. But I just thought I'd mention that it doesn't matter if 10 people PM him, if he's not checking in, or has someone checking in, then the messages will go unanswered.

Speaking of not posting for awhile... now it could be me (still trying to catch up reading all the topics) but I haven't seen you post for awhile, my friend. How are you doing? Are you holding up ok?

    I've been thinking of John
I've been thinking of John too. Thanks for keeping us updated on his upcoming procedure-I wasn't aware of that.
