I’m really upset. My family is new to the cancer and cancer treatments. I posted on this thread about an alternative treatment and was accused of being a troll and selling a product.

Is this a place to exchange information/ideas and to get support ?

I’m really not feeling very comfortable posting now.

    I apologise for my comment. As I said if your genuine then that you are, but Phil picked up on the replies you got to the same post you made not to you personally but to the replies you got. Now when you got the same exact reply from a brand new profile I was clear in my reply to you if you were genuinely seeking information then thats what your doing, people will come on here trying to promise the earth, moon and stars with their products, and I wanted to avoid you getting taken in by it, as I understand you are desperate believe you me I do. And to whoever replied to your posting if along with the previous posters who replied to you that phil picked up on Newperson was it, if he was real as was lovedogs who replied to your post and my message was aimed at him (I flagged his message and csn removed it), then I apologise once again.

    Everyone has a right to reply. If it is offensive, flag it and the moderators will judge.

    And if you want help and acceptance it helps to have the humility to recognize/accept apologies.

    I wish your mother luck in her struggle with this disease.

    Just a few, but it helps to know them. Users can flag posts, but not remove them, that is up to the administrators. If a post was flagged and removed that would indicate that it was in violation of the rules, as judged by the administrators.

    Each User agrees not to harass, threaten or make any other objectionable communication with any person who is part of The Cancer Survivors Network Service or in the Service and further agrees to cease such conduct at the request of either ACS, the person to whom the conduct is targeted, or applicable government authorities.

    No User shall advise other Users about medical care or attempt to influence their medical care decisions. Members are encouraged to share their own medical experiences, but medical advice to others is strictly prohibited, regardless of a Member's medical education, credentials, or experience. The purpose of the Cancer Survivors Network is a peer to peer support service.

    No User shall use the Service to proselytize. The religious beliefs of all faiths are to be respected. The spiritual beliefs of all Members are to be respected regardless of whether they are in accordance with the beliefs of any religious group or teachings of other Members. No User shall disrespect or judge the beliefs or decisions of other Members on religious, spiritual, or other issues including but not limited to lifestyle, relationships, and medical care.

    Removal of content; right but not obligation to monitor content: ACS shall have the right, exercisable in its sole and absolute discretion, but not the obligation, to refuse to post or to delete any information or data which ACS becomes aware of which ACS determines, in its sole and absolute discretion, to be offensive, racist, lewd, profane, obscene, pornographic, hateful, rude, abusive, disruptive, defamatory or otherwise in violation of this Usage Agreement. ACS shall have the right, exercisable in its sole and absolute discretion, but not the obligation, to monitor the content of the Service provided by Users, in order to determine compliance with this agreement and any operating rules established by ACS, to satisfy any law, regulation or authorized government request, or for any other reasonable commercial purpose.
