Yesterday was pretty awful. The one-month anniversary of Moopy's passing, and Valentine's Day thrown in for bad measure. On the brighter side, it was a warm sunny day and the pups had fun romping in the back yard. So I got through it, and today has been a lot better even if I have been faxing and mailing some pretty depressing stuff. I think Moopy would be proud of me for how well I'm handling the financial stuff after so many years of not having to worry about it. Thank you all so much for caring!
Love,

group .. or the ability to join a gym? What about the new car? Still looking? How are the pup's adjusting? Your guardian Angel - Moopster23, would want you to enjoy each and everyday. I can not imagine, nor do I want to trade places. Just worried about you. Please remember to take off the leopard print hat before hitting the grocery store, or local gas station. Then again, hey why not! LOL.
Peace, Joy and Strength - I pray for you, Joe.

the hat is a nice touch. For now. You know what they say: no major changes for a year.
When more time passes, we might suggest you find some other way to express your inner goofiness:)

Thank you all for your kind words and your unfailing support!
Natly, you have nothing at all to apologize for. We all speak a language that regularly uses "he," "his," and "him" even when referring to someone who is a "she," "hers," "her." I can hardly complain about being mixed in with the sisters. In fact, I consider it a tremendous honor to be mixed in with these beautiful and heroic sisters, here on the CSN board.
Besides, I still have this goofy leopard print winter hat that Moopy used to wear when she was feeling a little goofy herself. I wear it outside fairly regularly, and it probably makes me look extremely goofy, but you know what? I couldn't care less. It's kinda fun to go out and rock my feminine side a little bit!
Love,
Joe
Good to hear from you and see you posting Joe. I always think of how you are doing and miss Moopy.

Don't you doubt that for a minute. She's proud of you not only for handling all the (it seems like it will never end) paperwork and arrangements and financial stuff, but even more so for remembering to take a moment away from that to enjoy a warm sunny day with your pups.
(and for not eating bacon at every meal :-)

Yes Joe ... Moopy is in heaven ... watching over you ... the pups and all of us "sisters" on the discussion board. We miss her so much but ... her spirit will be with us always. I'm so glad you are still checking in once in awhile ... because all of us sisters are concerned about our brother. Take care ...

Danny won't go touch the finances. He jokes and says that he hates fooling with "dirty money" issues. And I don't mind doing it because I am a little ocd about paying bills anyway.
But it worries me and I am trying to get a folder together of all the bills and passwords.
So I can tell you how I would feel and that would be proud, proud and happy that you are putting one foot in front of the other and moving forward with living. And I believe that you have done remarkably well and should be proud of yourself too.0 -

Day one of my roadtrip takes me to Iowa City, IA - where I attended grad school from 1982 to 1987. Haven't been back in more than 15 years, and now it looks like a foreign country. I am having a blast driving the new Tiguan. The only problem is that it gets out on the road and wants to do between 75 and 85 regardless of what the speed limit may be. All in all it's been pretty much fun, but then I got up here to the hotel and realized... well, let's just say that the pups and I all love each other very much but it feels very strange not having anyone to call at home. But I talk to Moopy a lot while I'm wandering around and I hope she knows I am still doing my best.
Love to all

Your bond with her is so strong that mere physical death cannot touch it.
Sounds like Farfignugen in your Tiguan - maybe your next purchase should be a radar detector?
We're always here for you, brother.

Hey Joe, Watch that speed with that new car, I know that the Tiguan has a mind of it's own but explaining this to the cop's could be a problem. Be safe, She knows

No need to call home when Moopy is right there with you. Your rode trip with pups in tow sounds fun. It looks like you are enjoying your new ride, too. It is good to hear you are taking a break and visiting former stomping grounds. God bless.

I have no doubt that she knows and she is smiling down at you paying bills, trying to slow down the car with a mind of its own and being papa to the dogs. I have nothing but the greatest admiration for you. It is very difficult to jump, stumble, or fall back into life after losing someone that was such an important part of our lives. And you are taking the steps (baby, medium or giant) to do just that. It is what every partner who ever loved wants their companion, spouse, significant other to do. I know that is what I would want my Den to do. I tell him if he didn't I would come back and make his life miserable. When my mom lost my dad, she went ahead with her life and said that it was a tribute to dad, to the love that they had and that it would dishonor that love to just crumble and give in to the sadness of it. I didn't really understand at the time but I see now what she means. And you, Aortus, dear brother of us all, are honoring your Moopy by going forward. It doesn't mean it doesn't hurt or that it isn't hard, but she would want you to savor and relish life. And eat bacon (well, a little) and do the finances and live life large. SO proud of you. As for the finances and doing them good for you. I am afraid my Den would be so lost. I have everything budgeted and written down and have all the online passwords etc but he would just sit and stare at it until Denise came over to rescue him. He prefers to have me do it all and just give him cash when he needs it. I love the car that can't be controlled. I can see you roaring down the country lanes with the, what was it, a leopard print hat, on your head and being pulled over and explaining that to a local policeman. So take charge of that car before it gets you into trouble. LOL
And know that we are all here to listen when you need, to laugh when you tell us something funny, and to hear your good, solid advice when you give it. You are truly one of the BBBs we have.
