Good news, Questions, and goodbye for a little while

in Lung Cancer #1
Good News:The cancer doc told us that my wife's tumor remained stable since her last check-up. Yeah!

Question (and more good news?!): She also told us that this bone scan showed serious reduction in cancer affecting her bones. To the point that she said that the chemo has probably abated all of the cancer in her bones. She added that this does not usually happen. That no progression in the bones is usually the best to hope. ----- I had not heard this... Thoughts and experiences?

Goodbye for a little while: My wife and I are getting on a plane Thursday for 11 days in Australia. I'll lurk around on the boards when I can find a wi-fi connection, but other than that will be in a self-imposed exile. :)

    That's excellent news!
    I have no experience with bone cancer, but it sounds like the oncologist is really, really happy with the scans, yayyy!!
    Hope you all (kids, too?) have a great time in Australia, bring home a kanga, will you?

    Thanks stayingcalm....

    No kids this trip. 22.5 hours from the time our first flight leaves till we get there. One flight is 14.5 hours long.... I dont think the airlines appreciate four kids running around in the plane while the parents are zonked out on ambien and benydryl. :)
