CT Anxiety ****UPDATE****

I had my routine CT this morning...especially stressful on this one as I just had knee surgery. In doing that, they of course knocked me out, and shoved the breathing tube down my throat. This was a week or so ago.
Well every since, my throat on that side has been soar and swollen. Glands are swollwn and hearing kind of muffled. I also have what looks like a lesion or kind of scabby looking patch down deep behind my tongue where I originally had this rollercoaster begin two years ago.
For whatever reason, occasionally I'll get similar symptoms, swollen glands, sore, etc...(no scabby looking patch though). I always get it scoped and so far nothing has shown up on the CT's or PET. But it's still very hard not to get apprehensive.
Keep Shelley and I in your thoughts and prayers this next week or so please...
Best,
John

Sending Prayers..Pumakitty said:Prayers
I am sending tons of prayers and hugs your way.
Kathy
Sending prayers your way. The anxiety is a tough thing to overcome. Whenever I go to my cancer center for an appointment my blood pressure is so much higher than usual. Scans are the same way. Anyway, I'll be praying for yet another clear scan coming you way! -
Thanks...Kimba1505 said:Energy your way.
John,
Sending strong energy your way and feeling very confident that you are experiencing airway trauma from the tube going down your throat during knee surgery.
How's the knee?
Kim
Thank you all....
Kim, thanks, the knee is still a little sore...LOL, but much better than it was. I tore the meniscus several weeks ago. Took that long to convince MD's it wasn't arthritis....

My Prayers, John. Heckuva note that a knee Op could kick the symptom thing in at a body place that should be left well alone with the C history. Hopes and Prayers all is OK.

Anxiety
Hi, John. I can't imagine anybody not having anxiety under the conditions you are going through. I'll bet most of us have gone through this at one time or another. I know I am still in crisis mode and I feel the anxiety a lot of the time. My best wishes and prayers coming your way for a clean scan.
