My Check Up

in Anal Cancer #1
Everything went just as I figured. GREAT! I don't have to have scans but once a year now, so my I will get mine in September. I don't have to go back to the Doctor for 6 months. As far as the kidney goes, he felt it was just my turn to start having kidney stones, and just said to keep drinking the water, and maybe add a cup of coffee or tea during the day, which I will try to do, since I am not a drinker of caffeine. He said while I am at that to add some honey to the tea or coffee just to help keep the stools soft.

My blood work was great! The exam was great, sure the usual scar tissue was there, but no other changes.

Hoping everyone else who had check ups and scans get as good of news as I did!

    I too just had a negative PET scan. I am 4.5 years out from the standard treatment (called the Nigro Protocal).

    Fingers crossed for all of all survivors!!

    So nice not to have scanxiety every couple of months! Once a year is do-able!! I will be so relieved when I get to that point!!

    It's so refreshing to hear this, it gives me hope. I am having blood work and scans next week and can't help to feel the anxiety. Congratulations, and thank you for sharing the great news.
