What a year its been, but we finally got a surgery date. There is no visible tumor on the inside of the esophagus, the PET says no mets to other organs. Surgery is scheduled for Feb. 16th. We are both excited and scared at the same time, but know this is the best option.
The surgeon is very good. I have heard many good things about him and his attitude is honest and good.
I have read many of your stories about after surgery and will continue to learn from u all.

Great News
I am happy for you both that you are finally going to be getting the MIE surgery. It is exciting and scary at the same time. My husband just had his MIE January 5th and it is definitely the way to go. It is a very serious surgery, but so much easier to recover from.
I will keep you both in prayer on the 16th.
