Hi all:

Basketcase checking in here! I have been to Chatt. TN to help my niece and her two girls get ready to move in with my sister for financial reasons just to start. What a zoo. Please pray for this family. They have to be out by Friday and they are no where near ready to go. My niece is divorced. I honestly believe if they worked 24/7 from now till Thurs. they might be ready to go. Problem is the house is just in a vast dissarray (that's putting in mildly). Right now we can't worry about the reason for the disarray; we just have to get them out and into my sister's house. I believe there may be a deeper psychological issue for the dissarray but as I said we can't worry about that now. Just please pray for them to have the guidance they are going to need. My sister's son who is not working and hasn't for some time and had been in Ohio helping a girl and her children out is now back home at my sister's. He is 36 yo! Now wait till y'all hear the main reason for his coming back home. He left his dog with my sister. The dog was older and died on Christmas Day. My sister took him to the emergency animal shelter where they agreed to keep him on ice till my nephew returned (he's determined to bury the dog in my sister's backyard) Well, of course the snowstorms hindered his return and so on this past Thurs. my sister had to pick up the dog as they could not keep him past 30 days w/o charging her which she couldn't afford. Now her son told her he'd be alright in the garage till he got home late Friday night from Ohio. The temps were in the 50's and above from Thurs. on! However, my sister went to their former vet (who is now retired) but the present vet agreed to keep Marley (the dog) in their freezer at no charge till my nephew can pick him up and bury him! Being an ardent dog lover myself and I would be heartbroken if something happened to one of mine. (Sammy, the dachshund is 4 today) However, this has been a hardship on my sister and even more so with the aforementioned move. Anyway I'm going back up Wed. to help with the final move. Hope all is going well for everyone and God Bless!

    Hi you two!

I'm glad you enjoy the posts! It certainly has not been a dull moment. As I pulled onto my street this afternoon coming home Hearing Charlie Wayne (that's what I named my GPS - Charlie's middle name was Wayne and the niece who is moving used to called him "Charlie Wayne" when she was little!) say "Arriving at home on left" had to be the best and sweetest words I've heard! In other words I was glad to be home. I just made it back home in time to go with a friend of mine to a Longhorn's Restaurant to hear a Financial Seminar (you know the kind that give you the free meal for coming to listen - hey, the Flo's Filet was one of the choices and that is my absolute favorite) so yeah, we went and listened (and I know nothing about what's a good deal and what's not - I mean I've got an idea) but fortunately you were under no obligation and I certainly did not obligate but my friend and I enjoyed the meal - it was great! Later!
