Well I am assuming your in
Well I am assuming your in chemo, there is no info on your about me page. What chemo cocktail are you on. I was on Herceptin, carboplatin, taxotere. I did get pretty fatigued. it help me to take Vits and I drank ensure ate protein bars. Do you have the Neulasta shot to rebuild your red blood cells the day after chemo? That helps allot but it can cause bone pain. If you can give more info it would be helpful.0 -
Need more info
Hi Jean,
I agree with what smalldoggroomer had to say. It would be helpful to get a little more information about your situation so we can determine whether or not we have anything worthwhile to say to you.
1. What kind of work do you do?
2. What type of chemo have you received? Are you still receiving chemo?
3. Have you had radiation? How much? When was the last round?
4. What prescription drugs have you taken?
5. You mentioned supplements. What kind? Over-the-counter or prescription? Names?
We look forward to hearing from you.0 -

Oh, sorry, I have never done the about me page. I finished chemo Nov.2009 & radiation 2010. I started of femara and was switched to tamoxifen due to terrible side effects and several surgeries.
I did have the Nulasta shot after each chemo. It was really hard. I decided to wear my pedometer today and at least TRY to move more.
Thanks for caring,

Anemia
Has you're doc suggested a blood transfusion, I was anemic for about a month and was in a fog for most of it. It was a chore just standing up a little. I can imagine going to work everyday. I also gained weight from the inactivity but my doc said do not lose any weight even though I was concerned about the weight gain. My regiem is TAC getting ready for treatment 3 next Tuesday. I am taking iron once a day but it not help my levels especially once I was anemic. The doc says it is the chemo drugs that did it. My energy levels have increased ssince I had the transfusion on Thursday. I did not realize how tired I was! Good luck and maybe talk to you're doc.
