Finally have a surgery date
I was given the choice of mastectomy or lumpectomy. If the tumor was any bigger or my breast was smaller, I would have had to do a mastectomy. I chose a lumpectomy. Surgery is on Feb. 10th. I will have chemo after surgery, followed by radiation. I am just glad to finally have a plan to start this difficult journey.

So happy that your PET scan was okay--that is huge. Try to take it one step, one day, one treatment at a time. I had lumpectomy/re-excision for margins, 6 TAC chemo, 33 rads. Try not to look at the whole picture at once--just do baby steps and focus on doing all you can to rest, relax and go with the flow. Take all the help that is offered--people want to help.
Good luck and please keep with us. We'll worry if we don't hear from you!
