Just wondering if anyone out there is familiar with this option to treat liver mets. It entails inserting a catheter into the liver and shooting beads of radiation to the tumors. My doctor has suggested this procedure, so I wanted to know if any of you have heard of it or experienced it.

If there's no other way to attack the cancer tumors, and there
is no promising prognosis if the tumors are not eliminated quickly,
this may be a very viable option.
I would get other opinions first. Some surgeons can do wonders,
where others turn to other methods to do what they are not able to.
Best thoughts to you!

My mom had this done. It was successful, however her cancer was too advanced and she ended up passing away. I know all about it. I know what she went through, if you have questions, let me know.
I had this done back in February of last year. I had several mets to liver and was considered not operable, so we did theraspheres. After doing it, I was able to have liver resection in April and have been all clear every since then. Let me know if you want more details about this. -
