Ladies!
I will try not to use this forum for personal issues. But I feel like we are family and I know many of you are not only teal warriors but prayer warriors.
Our son called 2 1/2 hours ago with update:
Off ventilator - has a canula (oxygen) but breathing somewhat on his own
No sign of seizures this morning
Head ultrsound last night - no bleeding, little swelling
They should be able to hold him today for first time! ☺
Platelets and calcium low - IV for calcium, retake blood work at 3:00 (blood transfusion if needed)
MRI tomorrow night at 8:00 - results Saturday
Doctor said he is hopeful - MRI is important as it will show the most regarding possible brain injury
Thanks for your continued prayers for our grandson.
Love,
Libby

Libby....I was so exhausted
Libby....I was so exhausted last night when I read your first post about the new baby, but I could not go to sleep without saying a special prayer for him. I too had a grandchild who was born seriously ill. He stayed in NICU for 30 days and came home with a colonostomy, but he is 21 years old now and doing fine, engaged to be married, and wickedly gorgeous. You know the mantra....never, ever give up.
