Well...the deed is done and now I wait! It drives me crazy that right now sitting at Valley Imaging is a piece of paper showing if I'm in remission. Aint it just crazy that we pay big bucks for our insurance and then have to sit and wait for results that could be read in a matter of minutes? Oh well..it is what it is! They said my copy will be in the mail on Thursday, so after I read it I'll post the results. All will be good!

    We are with you
    Hi Sue,
We are with you while you wait. It seems that where ever we go, be it the hosp, lab, doc office etc, we are always waiting for something. Hang in there. It's your turn to hear the Remission word. We will celebrate when you post.

    Waiting
You're going to get awesome news my friend! I know you can handle the wait, just go shopping for the grandbaby...shopping is great for getting your mind on other stuff.

    Thanks..
Thanks ladies..all prayers are welcome! I talked with the "scan man" and told him how nerve racking the waiting for results is on the patients, and he agreed totally. He said if it was up to him and if he was the boss, he would make it mandatory that scan results were read and discussed with the patients before they ever left the building. Anyways...it's not to be, so it's something we will just have to deal with. Thanks for caring...Love..Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)

    Hello
Glad to hear that step is done but sorry to hear you have to wait. That would have to be so hard and nerve wracking. At least you're getting the results mailed to you. When do you see the MD? I will hope and pray that all is well. I'm sure it will be. I'll be going through it on the 28TH which is why I'm anxious because I will find out that day. It makes for a long day but at least it's just the one. I'll be waiting to see your post and keeping everything crossed. Prayers and blessings to you. Mary

    Jan 25th
    Hi Mary,
I go in to see my doctor on Jan 25th. I get blood work done first and then consult with him to find out the CT results and blood work. I'll have a copy of the results on Thursday this week, so I'll know before seeing him if things are looking good. I'll post as soon as I know anything. Johns birthday is the 25th and Vinny gets his PET scan done on the 25th, so it's going to be a "busy" day this month..ha! Take care Mary...

    scan is done...
Hi Sue - have you on my calender and will check for your Post tomorrow after mail comes! I can't believe you're getting it that way before seeing your Dr. - my office wouldn't do that in a million years! My first scan after this new Treanda chemo is Jan. 31 (Monday) and I won't know a thing until seeing my Oncologist Friday, 2/4. So you're the lucky one! Saying prayers for great results - Fran

    Demanded written results...
    Hi Fran,
After my last scan, in October, my Oncologist doc got a little huffy and asked me why I had the tests results sent to me at home, so I just told him the truth..."I didn't feel it was fair to keep a patient waiting so long after the tests were done". He acted a bit aggrivated, but when I told him to put himself in my place, he didn't have anything else to say and lost the attitude towards me. I also told him that since I was the one "paying" for the scans, I had every right to be given a copy of the results. I have to sign "privacy release" forms before every scan at Valley Imaging in order to get the scan results mailed to me. They give me an envelope that I have to write my mailing address on, but they provide the stamp. I get the feeling that most patients having scans done DO NOT ask for copies. Not me...I ask for copies of everything. I think patient privacy is absolutely needed, but NOT from the patient when the patient is the one paying for it...ya know? Anyways...good luck with your scan on the 31st...I'll certainly keep positive thoughts for good results! I'm praying the Treanda chemo is doing what the CVP-R didn't do....shrinking the tumors and putting you in remission!!!Keeping my fingers crossed! Take care Fran...Love...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)
