    Bob, Hondo, make your way
Bob, Hondo, make your way out to my part of the world (Thailand/Cambodia) and the golf is on me. I build and maintain golf courses for a living. And I'm with you Bob, born and raised in Chicago and hope to never spend another winter there, although it's great place in the summertime! Cheers

I have to stop in Tampa first and go fishing with John, then Golf with Bob in LA but I have you down next on the list. I can see me telling my wife I am going to Thailand to play Golf. A good friend of mine just came from there and was telling us what a beautiful place it is. She works in South Korea as an English teacher

I work for a large Diving Contractor so you never know I might just make it there someday.

Take care and keep doing well.

Sweet, born at the Watermelon hospital?
    Can't stop laughing in Chicago!

At me? I don't get it? Sorry. Guess I'm slow. :)

    No harm intended Sweet
Please forgive me as it was obviously taken the wrong way. Merely a play on the Spanish word "Sandia" meaning watermelon. I just thought a hospital named after watermelons was funny. Nothing to do with you. I'm sorry I offended. I thought you would consider it humorous and get a laugh out of it. Once again please forgive me.

Albuquerque has changed a lot since Sweet was born here. Everything around here is Sandia this and Sandia that. The casino is Sandia Casino, the tribe is the Sandia Pueblo, and several businesses are called Sandia. We live at the base of Sandia Mountain which was named watermelon because it is pink in the sunset. The nearby Manzano Mountains are named after the Spanish word for apple. Guess those early visitors were hungry!

    I'm guessing Spanish influence?
being of Spanish origin I guess I just found the word funny. Akin to the American word, "Hot dog", now that sounds funny. The influence must be comming from the Mexican Indian roots of the area. Wish I lived there right now as it's pretty damn cold here.

You didn't offend me because I absolutely had no clue what you were trying to say. I had no clue it meant watermelon. All i kept thinkng is I have heard of being plucked out of the 'cabbage patch' but nothing to do with watermelons. I don't really know any Spanish. I used to speak French almost fluently and heard Italian growing up.

Besides when I was a kid my grandfather called me an 'Albuquerque Jerky'. That did kinda hurt my feelings when I was little, because my brother was born on staten island and I felt different and picked on cause dads side were all new yorkers (and Italian). Not to mention I have had people ask me when I became a citizen if I was born in NM and if my mom spoke English and if she was a citizen. I'm like people, it's a STATE. So no, you totally didn't offend me. I was clueless. I just needed an explaination. I even put a smiley face there. Sweetie, if someone offends me or pisses me off, you'll know it. Lol. I'm not that sweet when I am mad. Sorry if I came across that way at all. So no worries!

Grew up in Central PA, live outside of Philly now. If it is going to be winter, there might as well be snow...otherwise, what is the point? Snow days are for hot chocolate, banana bread and hot out of the oven chocolate chip cookies. Nothing like a good snow day. That said, my preference is summer with flip flops, sunshine, and a good tan. :)
